Dear Weston Middle School Families:
This Friday we dismiss at 11:45 am. There is no cafeteria service on planned early dismissal days at the middle school. I wish all of our families a joyful holiday season.
The newspaper club recently completed the first edition of the year. Here is a Link to the school newspaper.
Our winter concert season continues this week. The choral concert is Tuesday, December 17. All of our concerts begin at 7 pm and are held in the Weston High School Auditorium. Here is a link to the district performing arts calendar on the website.
All of the Lost and Found items have been moved to the main lobby until December 20. Please come and claim lost items during school hours. Remaining items will be donated after December 20.
Person to Person Coat Drive The Weston High School Person to Person Club is sponsoring a coat drive from now until the holiday break (December 20). Coats may be dropped in the bin in the school lobby.
Our Student Government Association has organized spirit days for each day this week, leading up to our holiday break. Here are the themes for each day:

12/19 Formal Day
12/20 Concert T-Shirt Day
The American Math Competition will be held at WMS on January 27th, 2025 after school during Math Counts. Any student is welcome to participate! You do not need to be part of the Math Counts team. The AMC 8 is a 25-question, 40-minute competition designed for students in grade 8 and below. The competition focuses on middle school mathematics topics, including counting and probability, estimation, proportional reasoning, elementary geometry (including the Pythagorean Theorem), spatial visualization, and interpreting graphs and tables. Some of the later questions may touch on beginning algebra topics, such as linear or quadratic functions and coordinate geometry. Here is a link to some previous tests!! Please have your son/daughter use this form by December 20 to show their interest in taking the test. When the test date gets closer there will be additional registration information!
