Dear Weston Middle School Families:
Tomorrow is School Picture Day at Weston Middle School! You may place orders online or return the Coffee Pond order form with your child on Picture Day. To order online visit coffeepond.com and select order online, school portraits. Orders may also be placed after Picture Day online, or by mail with the order form.
This week we will also be doing our NWEA MAP assessments in mathematics and reading. I will continue to be out of the district through September 16 for personal reasons. I know that I am leaving Weston Middle School in Mr. Walters’ capable hands during my absence.
Team Websites We encourage you to visit your child’s Team Website for information specific to your child’s grade-level academic team. On this site you will find the homework calendar which lists assignments as well as other useful information. Here is a link to the team websites.
School Climate Survey Once again this year students, staff, and parents will have an opportunity to provide feedback on a range of topics connected to school climate. We work hard to foster a positive school climate for every member of our Weston Middle School community. We would like to increase participation among our parent/guardian community. Stay tuned for more information about this survey in the coming weeks.

7th Grade Initiative Program The Westport Weston Family YMCA offers 7th graders a Free Membership https://westporty.org/programs/7th-grade-initiative/
This program is specifically designed to give 7th graders an environment where they can develop healthy habits, establish good relationships with peers, caring adults as well as with themselves. Students will get to experience a variety of fitness and recreational activities allowing them to discover what excites them. Once your child goes through an orientation and fills out paperwork, parents can drop them. They can then use the basketball courts, the pool & fitness center. If your child is interested, please fill out the online form and they will be in touch to explain the program and set up an orientation.
